Hi , Im having the opposite problem ,I am currently trying to set up my account . We have not made any transaction yet . I am in Australia and I would like to charge in AUD . It is currently stuck on USD and it wont accept my Australian address ???

It sounds like you accidentally signed up for a US account, instead of an Australian account. You can sign up for an Australian Square Account here. You'd need a different email address to create a new account. If you'd like to use the same email address to sign up again, give our support team a call, and they'll be happy to help you out! I have just opened a Square account as I had heard positive things however 99% of my market wants USD pricing and being based in Australia means I can not invoice in USD with sqaure. So for now I can not use your service. I would be very happy to price only in USD if that is possible. It is not a bank issue they just convert to AUD when sent.
So does Square have plans to provide this service? If so any idea of the time line? If not is there a work around?
I currently use other payment methods but one is expensive and the other not well known so there is a big incentive to move to square if we can get around this issue. I am not a huge customer only processing 15 - 30K USD a week but I know there are plenty of other customers wanting this functionality.

We don't currently have an update on when, or if this feature request will become available, but we continue to advocate for this suggestion. This article gives a bit more insight into how feature requests work.
The current workaround would be to do a currency conversion, and charge the amount in AUD.

Thank you - not sure what it is but my regular customers are rather phobic about anything different ( I shall not judge ) so deviating away from USD would put a lot off. I am covered by another platform for now so shall wait. I have heard a lot of positive things about Square so hope this occurs soon. Just from a commercial perspective for Square it also makes sense, others make an absolute killing from Forex especially when a lot of exchange rate transfers net each other off.
can you give a timeline for when Square will allow my Australian account to send invoices in AUD and USD?
Along with other people on this thread, I find it pretty hard at times to encourage US people to accept invoices in converted AUD. They don't want invoices in anything other than USD. No judgement, that's simply the feedback I get. The idea of seeing a different amount because of a currency conversion confuses them.
Can you give us an idea of when this will be set up? I want to use Square as a first-preference platform but juggling conversions is making things much more difficult.

We often find out about new releases the same time you do, making it hard to provide a timeframe. I understand your frustration not having this functionality at the moment, and appreciate you taking the time to let us know this is something we can improve. Is the feature coming soon? It would be a very useful feature (and far more profitable for Square) to allow for shipping calculation (according to order origin -- region or country). I have had to set up a separate website to accept overseas orders (for a physical product that needs to be shipped).
