Clothing Store - Gifting product to influencers and logging the inventory in the system

Hi, I own an online clothing store, and I would like to start gifting free products to social media Influencers.

How do I log these promotional product movements in my inventory system?

I am on my Items page, and I can manually adjust the stock on hand, but there is no opportunity to select outgoing stock as a 'promotion' - only stock received, inventory recount, theft, damage, loss, and restock return. And none of those selections are accurate for my situation.  

Or can I issue the Influencer an Invoice, with a 100% discount, so the item is free? I still have to include a credit card - will this be processed at the 2.2% fee, or because of the discount being 100% my card won't be charged?

If you can raise an invoice for $0 (with 100% discount), and it still required 'payment' there is a way of recording a cash payment against an invoice. Additionally, as square is percentage based, even recording an eft payment against the invoice should incur no fees.
