Has anyone found a barcode scanner for Square Retail that works on the Square Register

When will we have a Barcode Scanner that works with Square Retail on the Square Register?

I am in a quandry whether to buy. I have a convenience store.  Should I still buy Register but just use the Square App. I really need notifications on low stock as I stock a wide range of only a few items for a remote area. I am guessing the Square App will not do this for me.

The Zebra LS2208 USB Bar Code Scanner is compatible with the Square Register and Square for Retail. 

It plugs in to the USB port on the Square Register and is compatible with the Retail app as well.
