For example, if I set my loyalty program up so that it takes $5 of purchases to earn a star and they spend $4 today, will that $4 be recorded on their account so that if they spend $3 the next visit they'll still earn a star? (Or if they spend $6 on the next visit they'll earn 2 stars because the $4 and $6 were added together)
I'm asking because I have lots of customers who come in 3-4x per week and spend less than $5, but I still want to reward them (of course!)

I suppose I could just require $3 to earn a star and require more stars to earn a reward. Is that the best way to handle it (assuming the dollars spent are not cumulative)?
