Visa Debit on Contactless Reader in Canada?

I understand that co-branded Visa Debit is treated like a credit card?  Is that right?  It isn't tapping on the contactless reader even when it has the Interac Flash logo.  Can I just not use it at my register or am I not doing something right?

Hello @Tontu, that's a good question I'm sure other sellers have. 

In our article on Accepted Cards, it states that co-branded debit cards can be used to pay via Square Invoices, Virtual Terminal and eCommerce purchases.

I don't think these co-branded debit cards are supported for in-person payments with the Contactless and Chip Card Reader.
