Ratings and Feedback for Your Website

I've tried various methods to encourage customers to leave feedback after making a purchase, none of which have worked.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to get more feedback?  I was using an app for ratings/feedback, but not even that was working.

Maybe I am trying too hard and it truly isn't all that important.  Thoughts?

Have you thought about using Promote to send emails asking for reviews/thoughts?

@Adam  I have a newsletter that I will be using to promote with.  For now, I have gotten rid of the feedback page and will have to alter my 'after sale' emails that request it. 

I believe that for whatever reason, a lot of people don't want to have their names 'out there.'  The app I was using required customers to sign in via email or a social media account. I think that is too intrusive and know that I wouldn't fill it out either most likely.  

Previously, I had a survey form and then added the comments to the page, but it became cumbersome and simply didn't seem authentic.

@Adam  I had been using one of the apps, but that is the one that required names.  I just tried another one, but there is NO help as far as getting it installed, etc. Think I'll let it ride for a while until I have a chance to look for something that works for me.  Thank you.
