When someone unsubscribes from a mailing list does it automatically remove them?

I am trying to understand the way contacts are added and removed but the dashboard isn't user friendly. When someone unsubscribes from a mailing list does it automatically remove them? Im not sure where to see who is new and who unsubscribed. When someone unsubscribes from a mailing list does it automatically remove them?

Hi there. It should automatically remove the user from any active mailing list. The dashboard will tell you if someone has opted in or not.
