Q&A: Fitness Class Bookings for Appointments

We're looking to hear from Fitness Sellers such as gyms, yoga studios, and personal trainers about their thoughts on Class Bookings for Appointments. Anthony, a product designer, aka @anthonyt, from the Square Appointments team will be hosting a monthly Question & Answer session for Fitness businesses.

 

 A few of the latest feature improvements coming up for Class Booking include:

  • Editing and copying classes
  • Dashboard availability
  • Class Booking Settings

We’re also excited to announce we have started working on creating recurring classes and this feature will be available later on in the Beta. 

 

When: Post your questions to this thread and check back with us on Tuesday, September 6, at 1:30pm PDT / 4:30pm EDT as he responds.

Hi @sq_steph and @anthonyt  - I realize this is an older thread and we are not a fitness studio - but we do offer group classes and singular appointments and currently use Acuity to collect deposits and bookings for our group classes (payment is linked through Square) but it would be great to do everything in Square Appointments (which we can only use for our single member appointments). We schedule about 95 class appointments per week (class size ranges from 4 to 20 depending on the class) and we have to reconcile the deposit from Acuity and collect the remainder in person at the Square POS - it would be so much faster to just check everyone out via Square.
