New Year, New Payroll: Why This is the Best Time to Switch to Square.
You’re invited to our webinar November 28, 2023!
Have you been thinking about switching payroll providers? Or maybe using an online payroll provider for the first time? The beginning of the year is the best time to do it.
Why is January the best time to switch payroll providers? 🤷
By starting with a new provider at the beginning of the year, you won’t have to go through the hassle of collecting all your year-to-date and quarter-to-date information from your old provider or accountant. Your new payroll provider can start fresh for the new year.
With that in mind, the Square Payroll team will be hosting a webinar where they will cover all things payroll, making the switch, and other helpful integrations such as HR Manager, Shifts, time tracking, workers’ compensation, employee benefits, and more!
This is your golden opportunity to engage with Square Payroll specialists and ask them any questions directly!
Missed it? Don’t worry! ☑️
You can watch the recording here and continue to ask questions there as well.

Yes. I have an S-Corp as well and its $35 per month for subscription and to pay myself its $6. Every person paid (employee or subcontractor) is an additional charge per month

Hi @CatBalou2 !
@EKHVACLLC is correct. Since you wouldn't only be paying contractors, the cost would be $35 / month + $6 per person paid (yourself). But we would automatically calculate and file your payroll taxes for you, help keep you compliant, and then you'd be all set to add more team members as you grow!

Hi @Homeopathways !
Even if you can't make it, if you register then we'll have your email and can send it to you afterwards. I'd recommend hitting the "No" button on the "Will you be attending" section at the top of this post and then we'll have you grouped with the other contacts.
We also will be publishing it here on the Seller Community, so since you've left a comment we'll be sure to tag you.

What's the difference between Square Payroll and Quickbooks? It would be more accessible to connect to my taxes directly through QuickBooks. Does Square offer something similar?

Hello, @ROSITASCOCINA.
Welcome to the Seller Community!
Certainly, we'd be happy to help clarify the differences between Square Payroll and QuickBooks.
Square Payroll and QuickBooks are both tools designed to assist with payroll management, but they have some distinctions in terms of features and integration.
Square Payroll:
- Integration with Square Point of Sale: Square Payroll seamlessly integrates with other Square products, making it an excellent choice if you already use Square for your business transactions.
- Ease of Use: Square Payroll is known for its simplicity and ease of use, which can be advantageous for small businesses.
QuickBooks:
- Comprehensive Accounting Platform: QuickBooks is a comprehensive accounting platform that goes beyond payroll, offering features for invoicing, expense tracking, and more.
- Tax Support: QuickBooks provides robust tax support and can integrate with various tax software, allowing for a more comprehensive approach to your business finances.
In addition, Square integrate with QuickBooks, you can find more details here on our Square App Marketplace.
It's essential to evaluate your specific business requirements and preferences to determine which platform aligns better with your needs. Feel free to provide more details about your business, and we can offer more tailored advice.
Thank you.

@ROSITASCOCINA Square Payroll also has an integration with Quickbooks Online so you also can pull your payroll data into Quickbooks if you want to combine it with other accounting you are already doing.
