Card payment type not available

There is no Contactless option in the square app on my IPad 9th gen.

how do I fix this?

Hey @JHW-101,

 

This may sound like a silly question, but do you have a contactless reader currently connected to the iPad, and is there a bar along the top of the screen that indicates the reader is connected? If you were to go through the checkout flow, does the green light on the reader turn on at any stage?

 

You may need to get in touch with support to further troubleshoot this one - we're not experiencing any major issues of this nature, so it could be something device specific.

thank you so much for the reply.

I would just like to say I have figured out the problem I was having and am glad to tell you itโ€™s not squares fault.

I thought there would be a โ€œcontactlessโ€ option in the payment type, but instead itโ€™s as simple as just using the reader, with no need to press another button.
