I have had and been using a Square for 18 months. Getting upgrades regularly and at the moment I have a issue where it doesn’t do tap and go only manual Credit card payments, it says the reader is damaged and I need anew reader. How did this happen and could I please have a replacement.
with COVID the manual payments require a signature and don’t really want others touching my phone.
can anybody help me

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having trouble with your reader.
If the reader is showing as damaged then you'll need to file a warranty replacement as per the instructions at https://squareup.com/help/au/en/article/5148-square-hardware-limited-warranty-and-returns .
We send replacements via express email to get to you as quickly as possible! Please note that if you have to manually key payments in the mean time, you can actually skip the signature screen as this is no longer a requirement in Australia!
