Hello and thanks for your help. New to square so I am trying to figure things out. We often have running tabs that are open for a week or so before the customer pays (think employees paying for their drinks when they get paid), right now we have the fanct post it notes stuck to the side of the refridgerator. So the question is can we open a tab and leave it open for days until they pay or does it time out or come off at the end of the day? Thanks!

Hey @Jennsjava, welcome and thanks for bringing this up!
Yep, it sounds like you should be able to do this with the Open Tickets tickets. Learn more about getting this set up in our Support Center: Use Open Tickets with Square.
Note: if you have any open tickets, be sure to not delete the app or any unsettled tab could be permanently lost.
Another seller brought up a similar scenario in another thread. If you'd like to consider another workaround, have a look at their conversation: We need to create open orders/invoices with deposits.
Hope this helps make things more clear. Please keep in touch and let us know if you have any other questions.
