TESTING REQUIREMENTS

• Team Plus subscription required
•  Must be using Square Point of Sale on iOS ONLY
  • Team Badges is not currently available on Square for Retail or Restaurants.
  • Team Badges is not currently being tested on Square Register. 
  • Cannot use multiple devices (ie. Android + iOS)
• Square Contactless and Chip Reader required to tap badge. 

Team Badges Beta will allow you to assign tappable, physical badges to your team in place of a four-digit passcode. Prevent buddy clock-ins and improve your business' security by replacing passcodes with badges.

Team Badges are free during testing and work with your existing contactless chip reader with Square Stand and iPad.

Testing is only available for iOS devices only at this time. Testing is not available outside the U.S.

I wonder when it will be available for square restaurant as well.

I've bought the badges and have had them for over 2 weeks now, but they still don't work. Shows up under each Team member profile correctly. I was able to to verify each badge by tapping twice and then saving. After that, they don't work. Not for logging in or clocking in/out. No error messages. Just won't read them.
I tried on 2 new Square Stands and contactless chip reader. I have Restaurant Plus etc
