Hi, we are at the beginning of setting up Square as our POS system. Our next step is purchasing hardware eg Stand, cash drawer etc. We have a Samsung Galaxy 5 are we better to purchase an iPad to run the app through?

If you're getting a Square Stand it's worth noting that it's not actually compatible with Android devices. You'd need one of the following models of iPad to use Stand:

iPad (6th generation 2018)
iPad (5th generation 2017)
iPad Pro 9.7”
iPad Air 2
iPad Air

A Samsung Galaxy S5 or Note 5 will still work though if you need to use it with a reader to take payments, provided it's running Android 5.0 or above 👍
