A quick update to let you know that the Star SP742ME Kitchen Impact Printer is now available for purchase in the Square shop!
This is an ethernet kitchen ticket printer designed to be used in high heat environments. Unlike most printers available for use with Square, the SP742ME uses impact printing, which is designed to withstand hot conditions that are less suited to thermal printers.
With easy loading, a small countertop footprint and an efficient paper cutter, this printer is ideal for use in fast-paced kitchen environments for printing kitchen tickets. Note that it’s a kitchen ticket printer only - it won’t print regular receipts.
The Star SP742ME is compatible with Square Register, Square Stand, Square Terminal, iOS devices running 12.0 or later, and Android devices running 5.0 or later.
Note that you’ll need wifi and an ethernet modem/router to plug this printer into via an ethernet cable (sold separately).
