Bluetooth Scanner range?

We have a fabric and yarn store. My girls have asked, "Is it possible to use a bluetooth scanner (we currently use USB), to scan fabric at the cutting table and have it go to the Square Stand System in the form of a ticket", so the register attendant can still use the USB scanner for processing sales at the register?

Hey @BKalous!

I reached out to the Hardware specialists on our direct CS team for this one and this is what I got:

This would be the bluetooth scanner that's supported with the Stand for one. It says it has a 10 meter range but we recommend trying not to go out of 3 meters away as it may affect the connectivity.

You should be able to have both scanners connected at the same time to checkout items so as long as this range sounds good- it sounds like this is an option you could do!

Thank you for the reply! That range will work just fine. What I needed to know was, As one is scanning on the bluetooth, will the order go in as a "ticket" to be saved until the customer gets to the register? Or by some weird thing, will it start adding those items to the current customer's (at the register) order being rung up.

No problem! I think that would be dependent on how you have tickets/open tickets set up on your Stand but it should just start adding to their ticket!
