Hello @mabaytops, welcome to the Seller Community! 🎉

 

There are a few different ways to accept a payment with Square! The most common way is to swipe or dip a card. Once you've downloaded the Square Point of Sale App on your mobile device, just follow these steps: 

  • Open the Point of Sale App.
  • From here enter the amount for the sale. 
  • Then tap charge in the top right corner.  
  • Then you can either swipe or dip a chip card. 

From here the customer will sign for the transaction and choose a method for a receipt. Then thats it!

Hello, 

It's my first time to use the app.

I still find it difficult  to receive  payments from my clients  with credit  cards.

Second  I don't  have an account how do I get my money  if event I succeed  in receiving?

Hi @blandlindamarie - I see this is your first post in the Seller Community so I'd like to officially welcome you! 🎉👏

 

Because you mentioned that you aren't using Square Invoices to invoice your customers, I would suggest using Manual Card Entry to record these payments since you won't have the card present in these instances.

if an invoice still is in the draft stage you won't be able to accept payment, you must send it first.

Great Question.

Here are the steps for linking you checking account to Square:

Open the menu, and tap Settings > Account > Bank Account > Add Bank Account. Enter the requested bank account information. You can find this information listed at the bottom of your checks, or you can contact your bank to confirm this information. Click Continue.
