Virtual terminal sales with no customer assigned have receipts going to an unknown email address?

We use square to take deposits from clients for events - so they are not physically present.  There has been a few times where I have not created a 'client' or entered an email address for the receipt and it always goes to a mysterious email address - any way of me finding out WHAT this email is? Or setting it so that we get the receipt emailed to us? I'm so confused about how this even happens but literally every single time i haven't created a client or added an email into a manual sale an email address comes up. 

You would think if I dont add a client that square wouldn't be emailing a receipt to anyone? 

I'm so confused. 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is definitely an interesting occurrence. So the email address presented in the photo "mk@th******" has never once been entered into your customer directory?
