How do I print order slips for food and coffee to different printers?

I have a café. At the front counter the person serving takes orders for food and for coffee/tea. 

When the order is finalised I would like Square to automatically print an order ticket to the barrister (for the coffee to be made) and to the kitchen (for the food to be prepared).  They are in different sections of the café so having just one printer wont work.

Can anyone help please?

You can definitely set up your printer to print out order ticket stubs for your cafe, that will automatically print when an order is placed. If you already have a printer, you can get started by following these steps:

1. Tap More from the menu at the bottom of your screen.

2. Tap Settings > Hardware > Printers.

3. Choose a printer and turn In Person Order Tickets and/or Order Ticket Stubs on.

4. Select categories to print, e.g only coffee, for the printer next to your barista. 

5. Choose if you'd like to auto-assigned or manually enter ticket numbers. 

Next, enable tickets to be automatically printed: 

1. Tap More from the menu on your Square App.

2. Tap Settings > Orders.

3. Turn Automatically Print New Orders on.

For your kitchen, you'd follow the same steps, creating a new printer station, and selecting the relevant food categories to print out. Check out our list of compatible printers here, if you still need a second printer for your kitchen 🙂
