Feature Request: Permanently remove images uploaded to the image gallery of my website

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Removing images from my images on website editor

Is it possible to remove images that I do not plan to use on my website after having uploaded them to my images?  I have a number of images I no longer plan to use and am hoping to do a cleanup so I do not post any of these by mistake.

Thank you for letting us know that we can upload as many images as we like.However this still forces us into having to filter through and micro manage images that should be or need to be removed.I hope,we hope this feature request is taken seriously.Not being able to remove images is unheard of on any site. Tara

It sounds like you're asking about the images displayed within the pop-up that appears when you go to add an image to a Photo gallery within your website editor, @allium:

If so, there is currently not a way to prevent previously uploaded photos from appearing within this pop-up box. Please let me know if this isn't quite what you were asking about!

I understand most of this platform is free, but it creates a nuisance when you don't add something as simple as deleting functionality. Especially for the limited customization offered, so we already have to work around the limitations of editing. I really hope this simple fix is provided soon. It's disturbing my OCD haha.

I'd think if you ask 1,000 people if you should be able to delete images you'd get 1,000 replies that you should be able to delete images.

Who could possibly think you should not be able to delete images you no longer need?

Just checking back to see if this has been resolved so we can delete images that will never be needed again.

I wish! Come on Square/Weebly fix this instead of giving us the bad option to just upload as many pics as we like and make a clutter of it.

Pretty obvious that they don't really care, nor do they intend to fix this oversite.  Lots of old requests ignored.

i suppose it's possible they just don't know how to do it. Maybe that's a higher skill for more highly educated programmers, just something you get with more advanced editors. I surely wouldn't know because I'm not a programmer or coder

Been to busy lately to flog myself on swapping out images with the hope of choosing the right ones.

I agree, it's a pain in the rear not to be able to delete old images. I have updated my shop logo and would like to remove all of the old ones.
