Thanks for sharing!

It’s great to see so much content on your site, and see a lot of the categories added to your site navigation so they get better visibility.

Is the image at the top so that visitors know clicking it will take them to the homepage? I recommend using your business logo for that and adding another navigation item called “home”.

Thank you Adam, yes I agree, that is something we need to change. Is there anything else we can do to get the site seen ?

Hi, @greenbabiesuk!

Thanks for posting. Are you using customer reviews? You could turn that on for your items and include reviews on your site.

Another thing you could consider is adding some links to your footer; it’s handy for visitors who have scrolled down so they don’t need to scroll back up to get to your site navigation.

Thanks for sharing, @Parisfinery1!

Similar to the site mentioned in the comment before this one, I think adding some links to your footer will help improve the user experience for your site visitors.

Another thing you could add is an “About Us” page. I find those to be helpful in providing extra context to site visitors, particularly those that aren’t aware of the business before they arrive on the site.

How do I add links to footers?
Thank you for the reply

I'm just jumping in for Adam here @Parisfinery1! If you click into the Footer section, you should be able to toggle on Navigation. Within this, you can either have the same navigation links as your header or customise the footer links.

I hope this will help!

That soap looks amazing, @Omeda  😍 I also like that you have added your terms and conditions, and privacy policy in the footer.

I think your site could use some more content, maybe an image gallery or the Instagram feed option. You can also use the Stories page to create blog posts to highlight the ingredients you use in more detail, i.e. why they are beneficial.

I also suggest going through your shop items, and making sure all of your images are displayed properly. The Astra razor blade, for example, is turned to the side.

Thank you, will look at instagram feed. Yes, some images rotated when image was taken direct from square app - need to sort these.

I have a cookie banner, how can I check if I'm compliant?

Wow @MillieMothShop  These prints are so beautiful! ❤️ Great job on utilizing buttons and embed code sections to highlight and link to your third party offerings.

I do think the first featured item section your home page may need a different background section. I love the added color, but the items may stand out more with a more simple background. You can add a section with just a background image. Maybe you could add another button section towards the top of your page to link to your page with special dates and events when things start opening up again. This would be a good way to utilize the background image with a more simplified element.

Beautiful artwork @simonspud 😍 We have a lot of talented sellers on this thread!

I really love the way you are highlighting your art with the slideshow to start off the page. I also love that you have linked each image to the respective purchasing page. This may just be a personal preference, but I suggest checking the option to have the link open in a new tab. Especially for the link going to Etsy so that your website remains open in the original tab. You can edit this by clicking on the slideshow, then Edit Image. You should see a popup box with the checkbox option.

I also think it would be a good idea to add some information about your shipping and return policy somewhere on the site. This way customers are aware upfront if you provide local and international orders.

Actually,  I have a couple of questions too which would be great to answer.

1.  I had difficulty linking with instagram and facebook.  The pixel code stuff for facebook is very confusing and whilst instagram syncs - only the text shows - no pictures.

2. SEO.  I feel like despite the content and terms I still fail to compare to equivalents in my area.

3.  Last question - but more to do with POS.  I'd like a way to pay out/refund.   We reuse bottles and offer a £1.00 discount for all bottles returned.  That is easy if people have bought something but if they have just returned the bottle and want £1.00 how do I put this through POS.

Thanks for the help in these areas.

Hey @TheWildSage, I should be able to help with some of these queries!

  1. It might be worth it to disconnect and setup the Facebook & Instagram integration again. This is a really good article that walks through the process of connecting Facebook & Instagram to your Squa.... If you're getting an error with your pixel, here are some steps to help troubleshoot it as well
  2. For SEO, here's a great starter on what you need to know about SEO & Square Online. This is a good SEO guide if you are looking for more in-depth guidance.
  3. I take it that you're looking to issue a £1 credit/discount to customers who haven't purchase anything but are just returning the bottle? I don't think there is a way to do this in the Point of Sale but a potential workaround would be to either issue an eGift Card for the value of £1 or save the customer information on file and create a customer group discount so when they come back in the future, you'll be able to take £1 off their sale.

Thanks for these suggestions.  I will try these out.  Yep,  I think the POS refund issue is difficult.  It isn’t always via card.  It’s often cash so must try a different approach.

thanks @tranguyen
