I do not want to go with online booking cause too many clients don’t know what they want.. which end up with them booking a 45 minute appointment instead of the hour and a half one.. I require a 50% deposit for new clients.. but the seemingly only way to receive and record a prepayment/deposit is when they book online. Is there a way of recording a prepayment/deposit on the appointment without checking it out??

At this time Deposits aren't supported on Online Booking. So the best way would be to charge a booking fee and clarify this in the Service descriptions. I also recommend you add your like and comment here. This will help our product team get visibility and track your request.
