Feature Request - Customise 404 error pages

Feature Request - Customise 404 error pages

Is it possible to redirect a person to a default page if they link to a page that is no longer available, instead of receiving the '404 page not found'.

I have found that if I make an Item unavailable, or remove it from my store it takes a while for Facebook to sync and realise it is no longer a valid item. Clicking on the item in Facebook store takes you to the 404 page. What I would like to do is setup a default page along the lines of... 'the page or item you are looking for is no longer available, you can view available items here (link to all items page)'.

Has anyone tried this, is it possible?

Thanks for adding your voice to this @WildfireChilli - I'll keep this thread in mind to tag anyone who has commented if I hear any news!

404 page is coming up when i type my website into the URL bar i dont no how to fix it?

Hi @Nikkea, the 404 error when you type in your website address is telling you that the page can not be found. There could be a multitude of reasons why this is happening.  You would need to provide a lot more information and I don't think this is the right thread for that question. I'm no expert in this so hopefully one of the moderators can point you in the right direction, but I would consider contacting your hosting service provider as a start.
