Item availability on square restaurants

Hi, I am having problems with the item availability function on square for restaurants. At the beginning of service I might put a count on a particular item of say 20 serves available.  But then when the kitchen runs out of that particular item and has 20 dockets to prove they have sold 20 items. The count on the till might still say 4 left. How can this be possible. If the kitchen is receiving 20 dockets that have been processed through the till, how does the till not count the correct amount?

2. Head to our contact page https://squareup.com/help/au/en/contact

3. Go to "Other"" then "I don't see my issue"

4. Click "Message us" or "Email us"
