Claiming Google Adwords Credit

Hi, I'm trying to redeem my $100 Google Adwords credit for my new Adwords account, but it says it's expired. I received the code in November 2015 - how long are the codes valid for? There was no mention of this on the email I received the code in, so didn't think there was one, so long as my Adwords is new???

I also received a $100 Google Ads credit recently, but no idea where it is or where to find it. I wanted to setup my website first before claiming it. Anyone know where I should go to claim this etc?

Where did you receive the ad credit from? Was it from Google directly?
