How to: Start a New Thread in the Community

Hello! Let's take a quick tour of how to start a new thread in the community.

The first thing to check is whether or not your question has already been answered. You can do this by searching in the search box on the homepage. As you start typing, threads will appear below the text box.

If one of them matches your question, you can click on it from there. Otherwise, you can click on the "start thread" button to make a new post:

If you start typing and threads don't pop up for you, it's time to start a new thread! You can do this right from the homepage:

Or if you click Search, you can take a look at the best results for thread matches and start a new thread from there if you don't see what you're looking for:

If this is your first time posting, welcome! We're happy to have you! Make sure to check out our Community Orientation too. 😊

I can't for the life of me figure out how to post a new thread? Is there a certain user level that must be reached before being able to start a new thread?

Hey @Mskinca, welcome to Square! 🎉  Since this is a public forum, we can't get into too many details about your account, but if you email our support team we'll see if we can sort this out for you. Cheers!

Hi @SMW you can always unsubscribe from a thread by scrolling to the top of the thread page, selecting "Thread Options" and then "unsubscribe." I have a screenshot below on where this is located in this thread for you!

As far as deleting a post, that is not something you have the ability to do, but you can always send a moderator a private message if you would like a post to be deleted and we can help.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Welcome @Sandie123! Happy to have you here.

I moved your post here so you can see step by step how you can create a post to ask about any questions you might have. Our Seller Community is a forum meant for seller to seller interaction, with a sprinkle of some of us Community moderators helping out. 🙂 Ask any questions you might have about our products and services, or feel free to peruse some topics and search keywords to bring up different threads with answers and convos. If at any time you feel lost, just start a new post or reply here and we'll be happy to help guide you!

Upselling or cross selling

we should have a feature on our websites where when someone purchases something it ask if they would like to add an item that compliments the item they added to their cart.
