For example, if a customer does not present their physical gift card at time of sale, is their gift card balance able to be manually edited through the app or online dashboard to reflect the purchase?

At this time, the only way to accept gift cards is by either swiping or entering in the gift card information manually at the time of the payment. That being said, I'll be sure to share your suggestion with our Product Liaison team as I can see how this option would streamline gift card payments for your business.
