Hi, how can I apply 20 cents discount in modifiers to customers who bring their own keepcup in for a coffee? Thanks!

Hello hello @Richienguyen! Great question! 

To apply a discount for 20 cents you would have to create a discount.

At this time, a modifier can only be used to add to an item - for example, if you wanted to charge 20 cents for almond milk or a flavor, you could add a modifier to the item to allow you to add that extra 20 cent charge to the item.

To create a discount: 

1. Sign in to your Point of Sale and navigate to the Items section.
2. Tap Discounts > then tap Create Discount > toggle the switch to the dollar sign (the other option is a % discount).
3. Tap Save. Your discount will automatically appear in your item library! 

You can also create and manage discounts from your online Square Dashbaord.
