Does Magstripe reader accept Visa/Mastercard Debit?

Does the Square Reader for magstripe accept Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit cards in Canada?

Hi @santanyoga!

The magstripe reader accepts credit card payments. So in order to accept Interac debit cards, you'll want to check out our Contactless and Chip reader or Terminal.

Just a heads up: the Contactless & Chip reader has an interact flash limit of $100. The Terminal accepts all forms of payments (tap, dip, and swipe). Your customers can tap their debit cards for payments under $100. Or, they can insert their debit cards and enter their PIN for payments of any size.
