How to offer discounts

Relatively new to Square and almost ready to officially launch my site.  I thought it might be a good idea to offer a 10% discount in an upcoming email blast I am going to send out.  I thought I had figured it out but it appears as if I need to upgrade to a Performance package in order to do that?  Is that the only way to offer discount codes on your site?  Thank you!

A couple of questions on what you're looking for when it comes to using discounts. 

Did you want to discount a certain item or the entire order? 

Itemized Discounts can be created through your Dashboard, under Items > Discounts. 

General discount codes would be sent through Marketing emails to your Customers. 

Or were you looking for a discount for the Online Store?
