In all honesty, my business name was based off of the younger generation, which is my target market. I wanted to use something that young adults these days could relate to and would have a small urge to use me over my competitors based on my name choice. Works well!

If you want to stand out in a big crowd then you need a unique name and which is reflect the brand which you try to sell to customers. I have done the research for my business name which is unique and not used by other sellers and its name is grishmaglimpse.

Well when we decided to call it Lake Side Lake, there was no lake but a small pond. And Pond Side Pugs didn’t do it!

My business name is what I call generic. I’m a Scentsy Consultant and my business name is Scents With Allison. However I do send monthly mail and I call it “scent with love”.  There is my logo.

The business name for this business is pretty self explanatory and also because I kept finding all sorts of other things I wanted to try, "craftedbymaria" was to cover all the creative things I can do but not limit myself, or my customers perception of me, be using a more specific name.

This is a easy one. My business name is Miss Reenie’s Babies. It has a double meaning. 1. My mother is Miss Reenie; she taught me how to sew when I was 10. She use to make dolls as a side hustle back in the 80s. Now I make the same dolls. 2. The original goal was for my sisters to join me in this venture - so it would be her daughters (human babies) making her dolls (her stuffed babies).

I want my business name, Hair & Healing Multicultural Salon, to reflect my beliefs and goals for the salon. I believe the salon is a place of healing because, given the right environment, clients can feel free to literally let their hair down and be themselves. They talk with their stylists about their problems, get advice, and sometimes just want to vent or cry. In aiming to nurture the healing aspect of the salon, I even incorporate natural herbal supplements, teas, and self-care items for my clients to take home for self-care.

I also believe you should be able to walk into any salon anywhere and be serviced by a stylist proficient in all hair types, regardless of your ethnic background or texture of hair. With that, I am pushing to make my brand one that speaks to the need of breaking down current cultural barriers within the salon world.

…hence the name, Hair & Healing Multicultural Salon. 😃

At our other sunglass store, we always ask how people found us (i.e. word of mouth, Google, print ad, etc.). Most of the responses were something along the lines of "We asked someone at another store and they told us to go to 'the sunglass shop' down the street", so we decided to go with that since it's nice and simple and easy to search for online.

The story surrounding my business's name is quite simple. I served in the United States Army, and I was a (92Y) Unit Supply Specialist / NCO. I loved that job. Working in logistics, was an absolute eye-opening experience that I would not trade at all. However, my dream job has always been having a career in music, tv and film, in some capacity. My love for audio led me to beginning this company, as I completed my degree in Audio Post and Audio Production. So in short, I felt that the name should be a reminder of time spent serving and the next chapter of my life. I would at times tell close friends, when asked about the name...."Well, I used to supply the military, but now ....."ISUPPLY AUDIO!" 😅 A lil' corny, I know. Thanks for reading. Take care

My business was originally Two Little Birds after my two kids, then I gained a business partner and we changed to Three Little Birds as we had three kids between us

I've called my crafting hobby Crochet My Heart, though there are times I've considered changing it to Crochet Everything since I'm always looking to learn new things to make, or making the same things in a different way for the variety of it. I learned how to crochet when I was in my teens, but it wasn't until the person who taught me getting almost deathly ill that I pushed myself out of a rut on what I knew how to make, and instead of getting bored with crafting it's now more exciting than ever.

I create traditional pencil drawings of people portraits mostly. I started off my art with mostly white pencil drawings on black paper. So I started my username as whitepencilonblack. I expanded eventually to use coloured pencils on various colours of paper, but the classic white pencil drawings on black paper remains popular and is the username that I have been remembered by. So I stuck with it and named my shop whitepencilonblack also.

Yes I know my username here is whitepencil - I cannot remember whether there was a max number of letters I hit or whether someone else already had whitepencilonblack! Oh well.... 🙂
