Why is my discount rule not applying at online checkout?

I have created a Discount Rule.

It shows up online under the product I created it for.

Description of the discount is accurate.

However, when I add the appropriate items to cart, the discount is not applied.

What is the issue here?

Hi Cmkruemcke,

 

I believe you missed a step in the discount setup.  You need to set a minimum amount which would be $129.99 - that's the amount for 10 each in your scenario - once that threshold is reached, the discount will apply to 10 and above.

 

Here's one way to get to the Discount Screen so you can edit your item Discount.

Login to your Square Account Dashboard

Select Online

Select Items

Select Item Preferences

On the displayed page - look for Discount Indicator

Select Go to Discounts

On the next page, Select your Discount to edit

Scroll down to Minimum Spend - enter $129.99

Save

Test

 

 

That's my best guess - understand that the volunteer Community Members are not the same as Tech or Customer Support, we cannot look at your account settings.  If you still end up with the same issue, you may want to contact Support as they can go through your settings.

Thank you for the feedback.

 

Finally got it to work. I had set up the minimum qty and minimum spend through the discount section in my item library. I think the issue was it was not also saved in the Discount section through the online item library.
