$999,999.99 price when using a barcode scanner

I can use my honeywell xenon 1900 to scan a barcode to add to a products sku, but when I scan the same barcode at checkout no item comes up just a price of $999,999.99.  Why does it not associate the same barcode with an items sku?

You can go ahead and check the settings you set up when created the item and added a SKU code, that would be the main reason of this. As well you can delete that item and create a new one making sure to scan the SKU from that section.
