Appointments: Duplicate Customers and Disconnections

After the Square Appointments Feb 23 update, we are having some interesting issues.

 

  1. Loads of customer duplicates. Maybe a customer goes to book one or two appointments online, but there shouldn't be 5+ extra duplicate customers created from that. Right?
  2. Clients connection to their Appointments are getting broken. This results in a couple other problems. Clients don't get notifications because the Appointment can't connect back to the customer. We can't see any list of clients future appointments because the connection is broken. And for a killer third, the app CRASHES when trying to check out one of these "broken connection" appointments.

 

Please help.

@beautifulco I'm so sorry to hear you've been having trouble with the Appointments app. 

 

When you have a chance I recommend running through each of these troubleshooting steps for the Appointments app. These resolve most issues, especially if the app is crashing.

 

If you're still experiencing the issues you described with duplicate clients or clients not receiving notifications after troubleshooting, please give us a call so we can investigate and resolve this for you as soon as possible!
