Cannot edit invoice

I'm trying to modify the invoice number to match my accounting invoice number at the request of the customer. The Square invoice does not list the goods purchased, and the invoice numbers on the two invoices do not match. I think he makes a good point.
However, When I click on { Invoices | Invoice ID 000046 | Edit } a new dialogue box does not open and I cannot edit the invoice. The pop-up dialogue box disappears and my screen freezes.

Sorry for the delayed response. 

I just checked on this for you and tested it on my end. Everything seems to be working and behaving as normal, and I'm able to edit the invoice ID numbers with no trouble. 

Was this still happening? 

Have you tried clearing the cache on your browser? Or maybe trying a different web browser all together?
