Cannot pair at all

Yesterday everything was fine.  Today can't pair.  Tried all troubleshooting steps-nothing works.  Tries to connect and asks for orange lights.  Do that.  Get message that cannot connect and press until flashing red.  Do that-after I let go, lights go steady red and  nothing happens.  I am at a fair and customers cannot pay by card-this is horrible!!!
