Duplicate Customer

Hello, 

 

Every time I receive an online order a duplicate customer is created.  The duplicate part  is the email is listed. My choice is to ignore or merge so I merge them, easy fix but I'd like to fix this from happening. Thank you

So sorry for the trouble you are experiencing in regards to duplicate customer profile creations. We may need to get some more specific details from you in order to be able to diagnose where the issue lays. Are duplicates being produced specifically after an Online Order is placed? Are these customers returning? - meaning they have made purchases in person or online before? 

 

Feel free to be generous with details - the more information we have, the more tailored response we can provide.

This happens to me as well. Every order placed online via Weebly creates a new customer entry, which means I have to regularly merge the new customer with the existing one. Needless to say, this is time-consuming and a waste of my time. What's being done to fix this?
