During sign up bumped off getting free square reader for magstripe

Tried to sign up and got bumped to dashboard before getting free Square reader for magstripe.  Went round and round and finally deactivated account although I had never used it.  Now signing up again with different email and I am being charged for the magstripe reader.  Please advise

After signing up, your first reader is free. Please try the following steps:

1. Click http://squ.re/readerrequest

2. Select "Send me a reader"

3. Select Connectivity4.

4.Complete checkout process!

If that doesn't work, please let us know.
