I have been getting receipt emails from other company's around me. why??

I have been getting email receipts from customers that are not mine. Want to know how and why

someone probably entered your email address by typo.  

on the bottom of the emailed receipt is a link "Not your receipt?"  click on that and Square will unassociate your email address from that other person's credit card.

@Bzigwood - On the flip side, if you entered your email address in the customer email address field during check out - it would link your address to their payment card. This means that if they shopped at another Square merchant, you'd automatically get their receipts to your address. This field is only intended for the customer's email address.
