We have a new Galaxy 10 Tab A and the chip reader works fine but not the Magstripe reader.

We tried to use the magstripe reader in the headphone jack but it does not firmly plug all the way in.  If you press down on the top of the magstripe reader the audio recording comes on but you cant swipe a card and get it to read.  What is the issue?  Other answers say the Galaxy 10 Tab A should be compatible. The countertop chip reader is tethered and working just great.

I would suggest at this point uninstalling and reinstalling the app on the device and making sure you accept the microphone settings when you reinstall it. 

If that doesn't help, I'd suggest reaching out to support. Perhaps there is something wrong with that reader itself, and they an help identify it.
