Why is my Android phone not connecting?

First time user. Android phone. Comparability confirmed. 4 oranges lights flashing. Will not pair. Phone restarted. Logged out and back in to app.

Sometimes these issues can be frustrating for sure.  Although the Community is not the same as Tech Support, from experience I've found these two links below very helpful.  Note, there's also a note concerning some Android devices - Square states that some will require multiple confirmations during the pairing process with the Square Reader for contactless and chip.

As a last option - you may have to contact Tech Support.   Assuming the reader is new, they may determine you need a replacement.
