Why is my chip reader not processing cards?

I have the Chip & Magstripe (headphone jack) reader, and it has started showing up as just a magstripe reader, and not processing any cards—either swipe or chip.

 

I am also getting the “reader not connected” bar at the top of my page, even though it is showing it as a magstripe and “ready”

 

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this might be happening?

@SGHomestead Sorry that your reader has stopped working all of a sudden! Have you had a chance to try the chip card reader troubleshooting steps listed the Support Center? They usually do help!
