Our team is currently working on an implementation, helping a customer into the transition from square online POS, to the square online restaurant, and one of the main concerns is what he should be expecting in terms of the overall experience of the platform.

Are there major changes in the way he usually manages his store?

Square Online offers both a site and a restaurant experience. What I'm trying to say is that both of these services are included within Square Online.  I suggest you confirm with your team in detail what they are currently using and what they are looking to transition into.
