I recently switched over to the new online store powered by Weebly. It was working fine, until I upgraded and added a custom domain (my website is hosted by Wix). The link works, but it is NOT SECURE and it has caused all of my products to state, "not accepting payments at this time." I tried switching back to the domain that Square automatically assigned to our Weebly store, but I cannot find an option that lets me do that. It says SSL is automatic, to give it some time and it will override, but it's been about 10 hours since I switched domains, and it is still not working

Hey @tolgardgames-
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community. Really sorry to hear about this issue you've been experiencing.
Any change to the DNS settings can take 24-48 hours to update on the backend. You will also need to make sure the domain is properly pointed to our IP address, that there are no AAAA records, and that the SSL is enabled.
If you're using the Square Online Store, you can unpublish (from Website> General Settings) and then publish again from within the editor.
Let me know which of these suggestions/steps you've tried already. I look forward to hearing from you.

@GingersGems. Take a look at @AdamB reply in this thread on how you can link your SSL. It looks like your site doesn't have an SSL certificate. Most of the times this seems to fix the "unsecured website" error. I also found this article on SSL and our Square Online Store.
Hope this helps!

Thank you! Unpublishing and then re-publishing solved my issue! Hopefully I'm ready to open up shop now!
The title of this post has been edited by a moderator from it's original title.
I have an external domain connected to my Square site. It is not redirected to the store, I pay Weebly for the privilege of using my domain on my store. However, several people have informed me that my website comes up as "security certificate for this site is not trusted" and they cannot access my website.
I want to know why and what good does it do me to have a store that no one can access because their browsers inform them that the security certificate isn't trusted.
Sorry you're having trouble @hazelandmoon. Check out Isabelle's Best Answer on this thread. Hope this helps get everything back on track for you. If not, I'd take Joe's suggestion and reach out to our Support Team so they can check it out with you.

When users access my website, bosquegear.com, they get a Not Secure message and the details say the certificate is not valid. I have searched the boards and there is mention of a setting to enable SSL, but I cannot find it in my site under Settings. My domain is registered at Host Monster.

Hey @visionbroadcast - Sorry about the trouble with your SSL. The SSL for our Square Online Store is enabled by default and should have activated when you publish your website. Can you please try to unpublish and publish the site once more? This usually does the trick.
Feel free to take a look at this community thread where @isabelle elaborates more on the topic.
Let me know if this worked.

Same Issue.. Like others I have searched and found no better thread of information regarding this issue than this one. Over the course of the last week I have unpublished and republished twice, reconfigured my DNS several times and the SSL is still is not working and the store continues to say "This store is not yet accepting payments."
The shop is: jasonhouge.art
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

SOLVED: It can take up to an hour for the SSL to be activated after un-publishing the site
I also had this issue when I first published the site. I investigated support resources and from what I saw, all Square / Weebly sites are SSL protected. After this, I went through several cycles of un-publishing and re-publishing and it finally showed as secure. I don't know if just waiting would have accomplished the same thing!

I recently upgraded my weekly website and connected a new domain. I made the appropriate DNA changes and waited 48 hours. Everything looks good on the back end but the site cannot be searched for and when I can find it, it says that it is 'not secure' almost deterring people from searching for it. Please help!

Hey so mine is showing its not secure, I started with Weebly first and then I got square, then they integrated their systems. So I'm not sure why mine is showing its not secure and my customers don't feel comfortable paying on my site now.

Hello, My website with a custom domain from bluehost isn't secure and weebly says the SSL is auto enabled but shows as unsecure still. Do I need to get a separate SSL certificate since I got my domain from Bluehost? Thank you

Hi @voodoo1 and welcome to the Community.
I moved your post to an existing thread that addresses this error.
Please look at @isabelle's Best Answer for more details and in the future- don't hesitate to search your issue first to get your quickest answer before making a new thread!
