difference between POS and retail Square packages

I have a small tennis retail store and not sure the difference between POS and retail Square packages.   Anyone have a simple break down?   I am a small store selling all tennis gear, but no clothing.

The BIG Difference I saw and use is the ability to have a Scanner read SKU or GTIN for faster checkout.  You can use the Square for Retail Free to do this also.  Here is a comparison of Square POS, Square for Retail (Free and Paid)
