Ability to view when time off request was submitted

We ask our team to submit time off requests two weeks in advance.  Also, we have blackout days where we can only let a limited number of team members have time off.  All time off requests are first come first serve.

 

When we are scheduling or viewing time off requests, it does not show when they were submitted.

 

Please add this feature to the roadmap.

That’s an excellent feature request. We appreciate you sharing your business use case and why it would be valuable for you.

 

If you know of any fellow Seller Community members who would like to see this built out as well, feel free to tag them in your post so they can share their thoughts as well! The more sellers chime in to the request, the more likely it is to catch our product team's eye.

Our business is also first come first serve for requests, and there are limited number of approvals allowed for any date. At the moment it is difficult and time consuming to search through emails in hopes of finding the requests made. There needs to be more detail of time of the request in the app request, with option for PTO/sick/unpaid, and a summary of ALL requests somewhere. Right now we have to search through emails or go week by week or monthly to find out if someone was already approved in that time frame - so unless employee puts the requests through, its a nightmare to go check if anything is already blacked out for any given day!

I think it's crazy that I can't see time off requests after I have approved them. When I schedule someone, I have no idea whether they forgot to update their availability or they are gone that day for their daughter's wedding and I already said it was OK. With 20+ employees, some who are technically savvy and some not at all, I just can't trust the app on this one--and now I am actually having to go back to people who did their requests through the app and have them write down their dates for me. 

It would be great to have a way to see approved time off requests and also to see an employee's recorded conflicts for a day, week, or month.

Agreed! & when you approve time off, it shows up in Shifts, but you can add a shift on top of it and the system won't alert you. In that way, it is a little flawed - the shift should go red or something to alert us that there is an approved time off request there before publishing.

I agree that lots of detail on any Time Off (or shift swap or drop) requests is helpful. In fact, if a manager is looking at the detail view of a single Time Off (or Drop) that hasn't been approved yet, they should see a list of other overlapping requests (including when they were submitted and whether they're approved). That way if they're inclined to automatically click Approve, they're more likely to stop and notice whether there are already other staff who need off.

I would like this feature as well! The information must be stored already because Square notifies me on how many days a certain employee has taken off already. Now we just need it available to us!

I am in need of checking time off request history - please incorporate this feature! I know there is a total number of hours the employee has requested off (to date) when they make a request, but I need to reference this now and can't find it anywhere.
