I decided to set up 2 step verification and my inactive employees received an email notification to set it up too. Thought this should be addressed since it caused confusion with my past employees. Thanks!

That is really weird @rire! I've never heard of this happening.
I tried to do some testing with my own account, but I wasn't able to get an email sent out to my inactive employees (Other Square Employees). I think for this issue you should reach out to our CS Team. They will be able to look at the emails sent out from the back-end and determine what happened.
