Cash drawer

It doesn't recognize the cash drawer. I purchased the Samsung register complete with drawer and printer. Only 1 cable to connect the drawer to printer and the ends are labeled accordingly so can hardly screw that up. When you go into settings to test the drawer it doesn't recognize it nor open it. Can you tell me why a unit that is purchased as a package does not operate as it should. Very unsatisfying

@Pkayter - We don't sell Samsung devices - do you mean the Square Register

 

If so, seems like there's a problem with your set up. You mentioned a cable used to connect your drawer to your printer so I assume you have a printer driven cash drawer, right?  In that case there wouldn't be a test drawer button to select in Settings since the drawer doesn't plug into the accesorries hub directly. 

 

Instead, to test the drawer, you'll need to run a No Sale from Checkout by hitting the Charge button twice (tap it once to show $0.00 then again to pop open the drawer).
