Restaurant: Won't hold custom menu with multiple employees

We have three different menu's in Restaurant.

Regular

Band

Event

 

On our busiest days/nights, we switch the menu to event or band.  Everytime a an employee runs a transaction and it logs off for the next employee the menu has to be reset from the default to "band" or "event".  Our only work around is to disable the employee login for transactions.  This is a logistical book keeping nightmare with 7 employees running transactions throughout the shift.   

 

Is there a way to change the default menu on the fly?  Thanks!

Hello @lovemychaos, hmm this sounds strange. The menu should default to the one used by the previous emplyee. So if one employee is using the 'Band', menu when the next employee logs in they should see the 'Band' menu too.

 

It sounds like your menu is always going back to 'Regular' is that correct? During the busy nights you mentioned do you want employees to use either Band OR Event, or just one? 

 

If the menu is defaulting to 'Regular' every time please go through these app troubleshooting steps when you have time. If the menu still doesn't go back to the last one used, please call our CS team so a Restaurants Specialist can invesigate this further.

Yes... what you're describing is correct.  It's not holding the special menu, and it's going back to "regular".

 

We only use one menu at a time... so no they're not using both "band" and "event" on the same day.  Usually it's just "band" unless we're doing an all day event like a music festival, etc.  That's when we switch to "event".

 

We've actually already tried most of the things in the troubleshooting section.  I'll give a call... thanks!
