Scanner no longer reading barcodes from receipts.

Please help,

 

my barcode scanner will no longer register barcodes from the bottom of customer receipts to search for transactions.

The scanner doesn't seem to see a barcode at all. no beep as if I'm scanning a blank page.

Other barcodes work fine

Hmm, tricky. Sounds like an issue with the POS software. Checked for updates? What device do you use?

What type of bar code scanner are you using? Also, what type of Square hardware are you using?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own already?

 

One step I would suggest would be to delete the Point of Sale app and install it again. If you have any Offline Transactions, wait until those are connected & uploaded before doing so. If you don't the Offline Transactions will be lost.
